Which Class is Right for You?

Most of our classes are considered multi-level, meaning that all levels, including beginner, are welcome to attend. We teach with cues, options and a watchful eye so that everyone enjoys their experience. Having said that, there are recommendations listed to the right.

A Bit About Heat …

We use Infrared as our source of heat as it is the most therapeutic. Infrared heat penetrates the body resulting in a deeper sweat, which rids the body of toxins and the warmth increases flexibility, and it also helps alleviate pain due to Fibromyalgia, Osteo-Arthritis, general back pain due to tightness and many sciatica issues. It is the safest form of heat for a hot yoga studio making it easy for those with asthma or high blood pressure to enjoy a hot or warm class. Don’t be fooled by ‘radiant heat” it is NOT the same as Infrared Heat.

CAUTION: Not suitable for those suffering from inflammatory conditions such as Rheumatoid Arthritis or M.S. For those who are pregnant, no hot classes.

Approximate temperatures of our classes:

Hot Classes: 36~38C    Warm Classes: 29~32C    Cool Classes: 22C

A Bit About Children …

Children 8 – 12 years of age are welcome to attend our classes, however the minimum age for our hot classes is 13 years. Adult accompaniment is required for children 8 – 12 years of age, and we suggest the following classes as suitable for children: Gentle Yoga, Yoga & Meditation, or Warm & Easy Yoga.

Mellow Endurance Yoga:
Mellow Endurance is a way of blending principles of yoga practice with functional movement and strength training. Getting strong does not have to mean pushing to the limits. This class allows students to feel challenged in a way that is manageable and individualized. When body awareness is combined with bio mechanics, weak or dormant parts of the body can be identified. A little tonic for your body in this class. With the focus on understanding your low back and hips and then gently building the strength and flexibility that it requires for radiant health.

Yoga:
With a blend of traditional Hatha Yoga, some slow flow with a splash of strength challenges, this class will surely help you develop balance in your body and mind. We may even work with the self massage balls to relieve tension in shoulders, and tightness throughout the body freeing up the myofascial tissue. Treat yourself to this amazing class. Suitable for all levels of experience.
